Window Cling Card!

For Valentines Day I bought these really cute window clings for $1-can't beat that right? When Valentines Day was over I went to take them off the window as usual and throw them away but started thinking, "What else can I do with these, they are just too darn cute to throw away". So, I saved them and a few days later for our Anniversary I got ready to make Ray a card and thought they would go perfect on his card. And if they didn't I knew he wouldn't care-it's the thought that counts right! I like the way it turned out. They stuck on really easy I just used a regular hermafix tape runner. I used glue dots at first but they made it too bumpy. The XOXO are stamps from Close to my Heart and I embossed them. The paper is from Colorbox & the ribbons from Michaels. The border on the bottom is from a pair of deco scissors I've had for like 10 years. Thanks for looking!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

"On this day I will marry my best friend-the one I laugh with, live for, love."

Those were the words on our wedding invitations 13 years ago-February 22,1997 and still hold so very true all these years later. Ray is my very best friend. I couldn't imagine going through life without him. He has the best heart of anyone I know and I feel so blessed to call myself his wife! Happy Anniversary Sweets! ♥

Welcome to my blog!

Well, I finally did it-I started a blog! I've actually had this blog started about a year ago, but never followed through. I'm not the most computer savvy person out there & it's a little more complicated then I had originally thought it would be. So bare with me, it's probably going to be a bumpy ride for a bit until I get it all figured out.

I started a blog mainly because, I think of it as almost an online journal and thought it would be a great place to have everyday thoughts, ideas, pictures etc. all in one place documented for future reference. I also thought it would be a great place to share scrapbooking stuff, ideas, recipes, money saving tips, pictures, etc. So if you like what you see come back & visit if not, no hard feelings.

So first things first, the title of my blog "Life is good". It's a little ironic considering this past year has been pretty hard on our family to say the least. So, why did I pick that title you might ask? Well, it's something my Dad used to say. When there was a bump in the road he would always look at the positive and say you know this, this and this may be happening, but we have this, this and this and, "life is good!" Those are words I try to remember when times are hard. I have my wonderful husband and sweet little girl and with them life is definitely good!
